Carolyn Reeves Dees, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Willow Creek Nursing Home.

Carolyn was a native of the Faro community and a lifelong resident of Wayne County. She was born to the late Luther and Elizabeth Edmundson Reeves. For many years, Carolyn worked at First Citizens Bank and later served as the accounting clerk with the City of Goldsboro Housing Authority where she retired.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 3:30 p.m. in the Eureka Cemetery in Eureka.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Tammy Dees; grandchildren, Anna, Cooper, and Davis; great-grandchildren, Andre and Zavier; brother, Billy Reeves and wife, Nancy; nephew, Scott Reeves, and wife, Alyssia; and great niece, Mackenzie Reeves.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Willow Creek Nursing Home for their care of Carolyn for almost 10 years and the staff of Mount Olive Care for their years of service to her.
