June 20, 2023, 94, Goldsboro –

Ethel Boyette Coor, 94, of Goldsboro, went to be with her heavenly father Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

At her request, a private family committal will be held at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Coor was born in Lenoir County on January 14, 1929, to the late J.R. and Hepsie Eason Boyette. She was a member of United In Christ Church and attended while her health permitted.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Tony Coor and wife, Ann of Fuquay-Varina and Thomas Coor and wife, Tracy of Mt. Olive; son-in-law, Jerry Kornegay (Mary) of Sneads Ferry; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ottiwell S. Coor Jr.; daughter, Patricia Coor Kornegay, and brother, Earl Smith.
