Jo Ann Carol Stoeckle Myers, 83, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Mount Olive Center. Born in San Francisco, California on July 28, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Chester Henry and Harriet Frances Joseph Stoeckle.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband of 63 years, Michael H. Myers, Sr.; son, Michael H. Myers, Jr. (Kelly); grandson, Marc R. Myers; sister, Terri Vanderdussen; brothers, Jeff Stoeckle, Greg Stoeckle, Robert Stoeckle, and Mark Stoeckle.

Jo Ann’s favorite pastime was raising and showing cats. She became an Internationally Certified All-Breed cat show judge, judging contests all over the United States and Canada, Moscow, Russia, and Rotterdam, Holland. With a great passion for animals, Jo Ann also worked as a veterinarian’s assistant.

In her later years, Jo Ann worked with a local Credit Union in New York where she retired as Senior Teller.

Jo Ann was a dedicated and faithful military wife during her husband’s time in the Air Force. Those years brought about many relocations across the United States which led to Jo Ann and Michael’s love for travel.

Services to celebrate Jo Ann’s life will be held at a later date.
