Anne B. Lee Kinsey Pate, 91, died on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at UNC Health Wayne. She was born on December 3, 1931, in Goldsboro, NC to the late Edwin Borden Lee and Loula Powell Lee. She was also pre-deceased by her daughter, Georgia Lee Kinsey; her brothers, Edwin B. Lee, Jr. and Henry L. Lee; and her first husband, John Exum Kinsey, Sr.

Surviving are her husband, J. Micah Pate, Jr.; her three children, Katherine Kinsey Gourley (John), John Exum Kinsey, Jr. (Rebecca), Robert Brownrigg Kinsey (Blakely); two step-sons, J. Micah Pate, III and Timothy G. Pate; five grandchildren, Georgia Gourley Hill, John Walker Gourley, Jr., John Exum Kinsey, III, Johnson Brownrigg Kinsey, and Julia Ellsworth Kinsey; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery in La Grange with Rev. Phyllis Vail officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.
