Danny Beasley, Sr.

Danny Beasley, Sr.

August 4, 2023, 72, Goldsboro —

Danny Beasley, Sr. passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He gained his independence from the cares of this world to find rest and peace. Danny was born in Wayne County on April 5, 1951, to the late Hubert Ashley Beasley and Coraleen Collins Beasley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Frances Farrell and Donald Beasley.

Danny never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation with anyone. He had many friends at Moore’s Pool Room and the Elks Lodge that he enjoyed hanging out with. Danny was one of the most giving people and will be remembered by many as a good friend.

While Big Danny’s genuine love for his friends and hometown was enormous, it paled in comparison to his love for his family. One can’t think of Danny without his wife, Teresa, coming to mind. He was the best husband to Teresa, happily together for over 47 years, partners in life, and the best of friends. The addition of their son, Danny, Jr., completed their trio but when he became a Papa to Coralynn and Cash, his whole world became complete and they were his biggest blessings.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home in Nahunta. A service to celebrate Danny’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Rose officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Danny is survived by his wife, Teresa Person Beasley; son, Danny Beasley, Jr. and his wife, Melissa; grandchildren, Coralynn and Cash; and his beloved K-9 friend, Maggie. He is also survived by his loving and devoted sister, Debbie Beasley; brother, Hubert Ray Beasley; Teresa’s family – The Person Clan; as well as many nieces and nephews he loved very much.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the compassionate care provided by Brandy Davis and Sara Rice. May God bless each of you in a very special way.
