Gregory Lewis Dissinger, 61, died Saturday at his home. A native of Orange County, Florida, he was the son of the late George Dale Dissinger and Margaret Ann Peck Dissinger.

Greg graduated from Mount Olive College with his bachelor’s degree and retired as a Master Sergeant in the USAF after 24 years as an Avionics Electronics Technician. A lover of the outdoors, Greg enjoyed cooking on the grill, piddling around the yard, and working with wood, as he was an excellent woodworker. He worked with his hands and could build almost anything. Greg absolutely loved NASCAR and was a Dale Earnhardt fan. He enjoyed his time spent with his family and close friends and would ask them if they’d ‘like a cold beer’. But above all, Greg loved the time he spent with his daughters and their families and fiancée, Pati.

A service to celebrate Greg’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023, in the chapel at Seymour Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

Greg is survived by his daughters; Casi D.Arnold, Kimberly D. Langley (Samuel), Katie D. Parker (Cane), and Harley D. Murray (Brandon); Bonus kids: Bruce Averette (Michelle), Cameron Schaeffer ( Monique), grandchildren, Tristan, Abel, Lucas, Makenzie, Silas, and Nico; fiancée, Pati Askew; and his campfire canine friend, Dealla.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Bendola, and niece, Jessica.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
