Dale Dwayne Perry, 61, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023, at his home. Dale was born in Wayne County to Sam Perry of Goldsboro and the late Lillian Marie Barrow Perry on January 29, 1962. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Perry.

Dale believed family always came first. He wanted to make sure all of his family was loved and cared for. To many, Dale was known as a poultry farmer. But this hardly begins to describe how he lived and worked. He always had everything in order – from his fields to his farm to his home.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel. Entombment will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, in the Pikeville Cemetery.

In addition to his father, Dale is survived by his sons, Clinton Perry and wife, Blake, Daniel Perry and wife, Stephanie and Travis Perry; grandchildren, Ryder Perry, Abigail Perry and Lexton Perry; sisters, Bonnie Howell and husband, Mark and June Martin; brother, Dwight Perry, and wife, Lavena; mother-in-law, Dorothy “Dot” Pittman; and a special friend, Dawna Nelson.
