Kathleen Goff Hinson, 89, of Fremont received her ultimate healing Monday, September 4, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Homegoing service will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 6 p.m. at Faro Chapel PFWB Church, 3616 Big Daddy’s Road, Fremont. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Eureka Cemetery.
Mrs. Hinson was born in Greene County on August 4, 1934, to the late Walter and Canary Heath Goff. She was a faithful member of Faro Chapel PFWB Church where she was a member of the choir and ladies’ auxiliary. Mrs. Hinson also was instrumental in the church when they fed at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter-in-law, Kay Stallings of Fremont; one stepson, Gary Hinson and wife, Alice of Fremont; one stepdaughter, Agatha Williams of Wilmington; one son-in-law, Tim Lancaster of Fremont; four grandchildren, Amy Stallings, Michelle Jarman and husband, B.J., Megan Gray and husband, Andrew and T.J. Lancaster; six great-grandchildren, Lynley Lancaster, Colleen Lancaster, Elaine Jarman Shepherd Gray, Bowman Gray, Porter Gray and one on-the-way; seven step-grandchildren, Crystal Bartlett and husband, David, Darren Hinson, Jeff Nobles, and wife, Teresa, Jamie Hinson, Jesse Hinson and wife, Alma, Catie Williams, and husband, John and Kelly Blanton and husband, Bud; numerous step-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hinson was preceded in death by her husbands, Theron “Runt” Stallings and James Hinson; her son, Jimmy Stallings; her daughter, Lori Lancaster; her stepson, Louis Harold Hinson; her brother, Walter “Bunk” Goff Jr. and her three sisters, Pauline House, Posey Snipes and Nell Holiday.
Memorial contributions may be directed in Mrs. Hinson’s memory to Faro Chapel PFWB Church.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
