Every week, Your Seymour Salute highlights an airman serving at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro.

Kelli Nwaneri, a key member of the 4th Equipment Maintenance Squadron in the nondestructive inspection section. Since Nwaneri’s arrival less than a year ago, she has shown drive by performing hundreds of inspections. Nwaneri has also stepped up as a leader and assisted in the training of new Airmen in her section during these inspections.

Additionally, Nwaneri is passionate about helping others and was recently trained to be a Sexual Assault Prevention and Suicide Awareness instructor. Nwaneri’s efforts have been vital to the training of her Flight.

Finally, Nwaneri assisted the 4th Fighter Wing public affairs office during the 2023 Wings Over Wayne Air Show. Nwaneri volunteered for communication duties between the base, the public, and law enforcement agencies for 200,000 spectators.

During this duty, Nwaneri also assisted in the verification of credentials for news agencies to cement the air show’s excellent media coverage.
