On October 23 at around 3:30 a.m., deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, A-shift were on routine patrol in in the area of NC 111 S and Ditchbank Rd.

Deputies observed a vehicle sitting in the driveway of 159 Ditchbank Rd with a single occupant in the vehicle.

Deputies made contact with the male, Antwaun Thompson, 29, Kinston. Upon further investigation, deputies discovered Thompson was in possession of cocaine and had a felony warrant out of Lenoir County.

Thompson was transported to the Wayne County Magistrate’s office and charged with possession of cocaine. He was given a $2,500 secured bond.
