Lt. Col. (RET) George Marvin Warren

George Marvin Warren, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, December 20th at his residence. Born in East St. Louis, MO, he was the son of the late Henry Marvin Warren and Myrtle Warren. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, George W. Fisher, III. George was Elder Emeritus at the First Presbyterian Church in Goldsboro and sang with the Community Concert Chorus.

Mr. Warren was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served as an Electronic Warfare Officer and an Executive Support Officer on the B-52’s during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a member of the St. Clair Masonic Lodge #24 in Bellville, IL.

A service to celebrate George’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 27th at the First Presbyterian Church in Goldsboro at 11:00 am with Pastor Noe’ Juarez officiating. Entombment will follow at the Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum with military honors.

He is survived by his wife, Addie Warren; children, Sandy Fisher, Bob Warren and his wife, Debra; a brother, Jim Warren; his grandchildren, Jennifer McLawhorn and fiancé, Tony Gunter, Lindsay Dearie and husband, Brendan, Greg Warren, and wife, Ashley, Michael Warren and wife, Aly; great-grandchildren, Ethan McLawhorn, Anna George McLawhorn, Quinn Dearie, Landon Dearie Fisher Dearie, Sloan Dearie, Grant Warren, Abigail Warren, Athena Rose Warren, Maverick Warren.
