Betty Maxine Collette, 88, of Goldsboro departed this earthly life Sunday evening, December 31, 2023, at her home.

A service will be held for family and friends.

Mrs. Collette was born in Spain on December 11, 1935.

She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Patricia Marks (Fredrick) of Goldsboro; two sons, Michael John Strode (Petra) of Utah and John Lane Strode (Gwen) of Arizona; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Eric, Patrick, Darion, and Ariel and eleven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Knapp.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
