January 21, 2024, 72, Seven Springs —
Patricia Stroud Casey, 72, passed away Sunday morning, January 21, 2024. A native of Lenoir County, she had been a resident of the Seven Springs area for many years until a recent relocation to Cape Carteret.
The family will be receiving friends at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive on Wednesday, January 24, from 6 until 8 p.m.
At other times, friends may greet the family at the home of her sister, Terri Arnette.
Funeral services will be held by the graveside on Thursday, January 25, at 2 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery, Seven Springs. Officiating will be the Rev. Doug Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorials to either the Alzheimer Foundation of America or the Seven Springs Volunteer Fire Department would be appreciated.
Mrs. Stroud is survived by a daughter, Donna Lynn Snair with husband, Clarence, of Beaver Falls, Penn.; a son, William Lee Casey with wife, Vandy Lyn Casey, of Cape Carteret; three grandchildren, Beverly Marcello, Joshua Snair, and Cameron Casey; a sister, Terri Arnette of Pink Hill; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronnie J. and Janice Casey of Raleigh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas “Doug” Casey; her parents, George Lee Stroud and Muriel Harper Stroud; and a brother, James Stroud.
Mrs. Casey had been a homemaker and had assisted her husband with their poultry farm. She had also been employed with Burlington Industries, and lastly at Spring Creek School in the cafeteria. While in the Seven Springs area, she joined in fellowship with the folks at Zion Methodist Church in the Pricetown community.
