Dorothy Morse Allsbrook, 89, was welcomed into her eternal home on Sunday, January 28, 2024. She was born in Wayne County, North Carolina to the late Richard Leonard Morse and Susan Poythress Morse on February 2, 1934.
Dorothy was employed as a cost accountant for A.P. Exhaust Systems in Goldsboro before retiring. For many years, she supported her husband as he served as Assisted Chief of the Fire Department for the City of Goldsboro.
Most importantly, Dorothy was a believer in Christ. She held various positions as a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and raised her family in the church. Though Dorothy’s body began to fail, her faith was still firm in the Lord.
The family will receive friends at St. Luke United Methodist Church from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, followed by a service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with Pastor Karl Grant, Rev. Adam Street and Bishop Anthony Slater officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 70 years, Jerry R. Allsbrook, Sr.; daughter, Bonnie Allsbrook Narron and husband, John Mark Narron of Warner, GA; son, Jerry R. Allsbrook, Jr. and wife, Marisa of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Susan Narron Eades of Bonaire, GA, Sara Narron Gordon of Macon, GA and Joshua Rick Allsbrook (Mashwelle) of Fontana, CA; and great-grandchildren, Ashton Carter Eades, Madison Allsbrook, McKenzie Allsbrook, Chad Gordon, Hannah Gordon, and Ansleigh Gordon; honorary son, Hubert Harris.
