In three weeks, Wayne County Public Schools (WCPS) superintendent, Dr. Marc Whichard, will host a special community event at the Maxwell Center to present the school district’s 2024-2025 local budget.

The WCPS Superintendent’s special budget presentation event will be held on Feb. 29 at 6 p.m. at the Maxwell Center, located at 114 Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro.

“We are inviting community members, business leaders, nonprofit leaders, parent organizations, civic groups, Base leadership, elected officials, and area news media to join me at the Maxwell Center for this special county-wide event,” said Dr. Whichard. “As part of my presentation, I will share what our school district’s needs are and what I plan to request from the Wayne County Board of Commissioners for next year’s local budget appropriation. I will also share my vision and plans for making every school one where all families want to send their children to learn and grow.”
