She was born in Elizabeth City, NC to Benjamin and Gertrude Sawyer Brown. She is survived by her two sons.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 12 Noon at St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, 506 York St. Elizabeth, NC. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens.
