Alice Faulk Ezzell

Alice Faulk Ezzell

March 7, 2024, 92, Pikeville —

Alice Faulk Ezzell, 92, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior and reunited with the family that had gone before her on Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was born in Wayne County to the late Willis and Effie B. Faulk on November 16, 1931. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, D.J. Ezzell; sons, George Ezzell and Danny Ezzell; grandson, Jeffrey Branch; sisters, Shirley Whaley, Virginia Tillman and Barbara Williams; and brothers, Clint Faulk and Donnie Faulk.

Alice’s faith was the top priority in her life. Early in her adult life, she worshiped and served the Lord as a charter member of Adamsville Church of God, now known as Park East Church of God. She used her giftedness for the Lord and lived for Jesus with her all. For Alice, this meant making sure her children were at church as they grew up. But it also meant she did not judge others or force anything on anyone. She simply offered God’s love, grace, and knowledge of His Word. This love started early in her life. She had a hunger and thirst for the Lord. This only grew stronger as she matured in her faith.

Possessing great skill in the kitchen, her family has fond memories of the many dishes she made. The family was at the center of Alice’s life. She was a loving and patient wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Alice loved nothing more than spoiling her grands. Alice loved everyone, and everyone loved Alice.

A Service to celebrate Alice’s life will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Park East Church of God with Pastor Cullen Jarman and Pastor Wesley Jarman officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home of her daughter, Connie Vinson. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024, in the Pikeville Cemetery.

Alice is survived by her children, Connie Ezzell Vinson of Goldsboro and Shelton Ezzell and wife, Phyllis of Goldsboro; grandchildren, D.W. Ezzell, Dawn West, Chris Ezzell, Dahran England and Cortnie Madrigal; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her nurse’s aide and friend of 16 years, Rebecca Jackson; and a dear family friend, Diana Stoker Beason.
