Russell Glenwood Spence, Jr., 81, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024. Glenwood was born in Wayne County to the late Russell Glenwood Spence and Minnie Malloy Spence on September 12, 1942.

Owning and operating Spence Equipment Company for 33 years, Glenwood served many customers while establishing lifelong friends. With a love of spreading the gospel, his store always had the latest tracks available for customers to receive. Glenwood was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church.

A private service will be held for the family by the graveside at New Hope Friends Church Cemetery.

Glenwood is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Alice Spence; daughter, April Moran and husband, John; son, Glen Tyler Spence, and wife, Becky; grandchildren, Alicia Moran, Ashlyn Moran, Austin Spence, Justin Spence, Blake Spence, and Trent Spence; a brother; and many cousins and extended family.
