Charles Wilford Taylor, 78, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Wayne UNC Hospital in Goldsboro. Born on December 20, 1945, in Greenville County, Alabama, he was the son of the late Horace Wilford Taylor and Catherine Frances Bedsole.

Charles is survived by his wife, Sherry Lynn Ley Taylor; his daughter, April Carter; his son, Kevin Taylor and wife, Crystal; grandchildren, Woodrow Carter, Ryan Carter, Samantha Tanner, Riley Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Quincy Taylor and Rowen Tanner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Easton Tanner, and step-brother, John Taylor.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Andy Stovall officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.
