Trimbur Caps UMO Career With All-American Performances

EMPORIA, Kansas – Senior Danielle Trimbur capped her Mount Olive career with an All-American performance at the NCAA Division II National Championships after delivering a fourth-place finish in the javelin on Saturday afternoon.

Competing in the second flight, Trimbur entered the nationals with the seventh-best mark in the NCAA Division II after qualifying for the event on the final weekend of the regular season.

She produced two solid throws to begin her day before needing a toss over 46.35 meters to advance to the finals. Trimbur once again rewrote the record book with a Conference Carolinas and UMO record of 49.19 meters on her third attempt to leap to fourth on the leaderboard.

Trimbur registered three more throws in the finals but remained fourth overall to complete her career on the podium.

Following her finish, Trimbur secured First-Team All-American honors with her record-breaking mark to conclude a stellar career at Mount Olive. Additionally, she was a four-time Conference Carolinas champion in the javelin.
