Harry Adolph Williamson, Jr., 86, known to many as “The Hawk”, native and former resident of Raleigh, passed away early Monday, June 3, 2024, at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Mr. Williamson, whose last place of residence was in Smithfield, had lived in prior years in Florida, and Las Vegas, Nevada.

He had served in the United States Navy.  Though his working interests were varied, he had been a mobile home salesman for the longest while.

Mr. Williamson is survived by two daughters, Lisa Weaver and husband, Jeff, of Carolina Beach, and Anita Biggerstaff and husband, Ricky, of Clayton; a son, Brad Williamson and wife, Cathy, of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren, Adam, Nicki, and Kendall Weaver, Jeremie and Josh Williamson, Shannon Bostic, and Jake Biggerstaff, and there are a number of great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Williamson; a granddaughter, Lindsey Biggerstaff; his parents, Harry A. Williamson and Marie Edge Williamson; and a sister, Joyce Nance.

In accordance with the wishes of Mr. Williamson, there will not be a service.  However, his remains will be laid to rest in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro, there to rest with fellow comrades who served in the United States Military
