Elizabeth Ann Pospichel

Elizabeth Ann Pospichel

June 13, 2024, 75, Goldsboro —

Elizabeth Ann Pospichel, 75, peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born in Wayne County on January 25, 1949, she was the daughter of the late AJ and Alice Evans.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Robinson; and brothers, David Evans, Cecil Evans, and Ricky Evans.

Ann is survived by her daughters, Loretta Lynn Pospichel, Tammy Holland (Todd), and Lisa McClelland (Glenn); grandchildren, Jacob Whited, Andrew Whited, Jonathan Whited (Shianne), Sharon Holland, Nicole Miller (Gabe), Marissa Boring (James), Matthew Holland, Michael Williams (Allie), Ryan McClelland (Courtney), and Rachel McClelland (Jeremy); eight great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Evans (Gloria); and sister, Faye Merlin. Ann is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

For many years, Ann worked at Lowe’s. When not at work, Ann could be seen around town shopping. Whether it was going in the store or window shopping, Ann was able to find the best deals on beautiful clothes. With her feisty spirit and demeanor, one knew they were in for a good time when going shopping with Ann.

The two most important things in Ann’s life were her family and her faith. She loved nothing more than being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved family get-togethers and especially enjoyed Lisa’s home-cooked meals. If one did not keep a close eye on her, Ann would be stashing away her sweets. Ann was a faithful member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro. As a devoted Christian, Ann’s primary goal in life was to maintain a close relationship with her Lord. She lived her faith openly and would often share with others of her Lord and Savior.

A service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Rose presiding. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. A private interment will be held at Wayne Memorial Park.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the healthcare professionals who helped care for Ann. Their love, support, and care for Ann were nothing short of extraordinary. The family would also like to thank the Tuesday Women’s Prayer Group and Dear to the Hearts Widow’s Outreach from the First Church. The calls and cards sent to Ann, as well as all of the prayers, blessed Ann and her family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home.
