Rebecca “Becky” Boyette Staps, 72, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side. A native of Johnston County, she was born on January 16, 1952, to the late Ernest Boyette and Helen Creech Boyette.

Becky is survived by her daughter, Tracie Pierce; her granddaughter, Mackenzie Pierce (Collin); three step-sons; her two sisters, Janice Aycock and Deloris Cuddington; her niece, Lori Paul; her nephew; Jason Cuddington; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Hans Staps.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A funeral to honor Becky’s life will be held in the chapel at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Howard Scott officiating.
