Daniel Roger Parnell

Daniel Roger Parnell

June 30, 2024, 33, Goldsboro —

Daniel Roger Parnell, 33, passed away suddenly early Sunday morning at his home. Daniel was born in Wayne County to Kenneth and Sherry Parnell on August 12, 1990.

With a love of the outdoors, Daniel found peace and comfort whenever he was outside, whether it was hunting, fishing, or just being in nature. Nothing made him happier than going on walks with his niece Hadley and his dog Ringo. Kind-hearted and caring, Daniel would do anything for anyone in need. He loved music and sharing his favorite songs with others. He also loved to draw and was a talented artist. Daniel loved life, his family, and his dog. You could often find him cooking on the grill for his entire family. He loved to make others laugh and was always smiling, hugging others, and giving love and support. Daniel shared his kindness, empathy, and compassion with all around him and was a loyal and generous son, brother, grandson, and uncle. The most important thing in Daniel’s life was his family. He held the keys to his Mama’s heart and shared a bond with his Daddy that will never be broken. No love came close to what he felt for his niece, Hadley. In his eyes, she held the sun, the moon, and the stars.

Daniel placed his faith in Jesus and spent the last year working on himself and his relationship with the Lord. That faith is why Daniel is resting in heaven right now, looking down with a sense of peace like no other and with no more burdens to carry. He will be desperately missed by his friends and family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Daniel’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in the chapel at Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Lindsey Parnell, and fiancée, Ty Stocks; niece and the apple of his eye, Hadley Stocks; maternal grandmother, Betty Dietz; paternal grandmother, Connie Parnell; and his k-9 friend and buddy, Ringo.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, David R. Howell, and paternal grandfather, Kagie Parnell.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seymour Funeral Home to assist with arrangements.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
