Southeastern Cancer Care’s 2024 Cures for the Colors Color Run is being held on Sept. 14 at Wayne Community College.
This exciting event raises funds to provide basic living essentials to individuals battling cancer.
This year’s Color Run offers something for everyone, including a timed and untimed 5K, an untimed 1-mile fun run, and the option to participate virtually for those unable to attend in person.
The Fun Run will kick off at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 9. Participants must register by Aug. 21 to secure a race t-shirt.
The event will introduce a new race route for the 1-mile fun run, a Kid’s Zone with inflatables, vendors, and more. The top three female finishers, the top three male finishers, and the top three finishers under 18 will receive race medals. An awards ceremony will follow the completion of the race.
“We are thrilled to unite our community for the annual Cures for the Colors Color Run,” said Emma Barnes, Director at Southeastern Cancer Care. “Each step taken in this race signifies hope for those battling cancer. Your participation makes a significant impact by providing essential resources to patients.”
