Lori Ann Powell, 55, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024 at her home. Born in Franklin County on September 30, 1968, she was the daughter of Sharon Jean Cox Bowman and the late Arthur Clark Bowman.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Glen Powell.

Lori is survived by her son, Jeffery Glen Powell (Danielle Elizabeth Powell); her daughter, Candace Leigh Powell (Daniel Edward Wing); her grandchildren, Waylon Glen Wing and Harper Elizabeth Powell; sisters, Cindy Chase and Chandra Martin; and a niece, Jessica Green and many more. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, 1446 Old Smithfield Road, Goldsboro. A service to celebrate Lori’s life will be held on Saturday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Doug Radford officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
