Charlotte Ricks Jenkins, 71, peacefully departed this life and joyously entered her eternal reward on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. She was born in Wayne County to the late Raymond Edward Ricks and Hansford Thornton Ricks on May 6, 1953.
Charlotte was a valued employee for the County of Wayne and retired from the Soil and Water Department. Following her retirement, Charlotte continued to work with RDD Auction Company in Mount Olive.
Her deep love for her family was unsurpassed. Not only was her immediate family important to her, but she maintained a relationship with her extended family and her husband’s family.
Charlotte was active with the congregation at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro. She served in various roles at the church including the Hospitality Team and the Cooking Team. Charlotte loved her church and her church family.
With a sweet spirit and outgoing personality, Charlotte never met a stranger. Wherever she went, she was sure to leave with a new friend. It was impossible not to love her kind smile and welcoming presence. She loved unconditionally and was truly loved by all in return. She will be terribly missed by her family, friends, church family, and community.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
