ASHEBORO — Wayne County Post 11 opens play in the American Legion Southeast Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, against San Juan, Puerto Rico, at McCrary Park in Asheboro
Post 11 (40-9) earned a spot in the Southeast Regional by defeating Wilmington Post 10 7-2 on July 24th in Cherryville, to win its first North Carolina American Legion State Tournament championship.

The Southeast Regional is being held through Sunday. The regional champion advances to the American Legion World Series in Shelby.
