SMSgt. Frank P. Mitchell, USAF, Retired, 70, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. He was born in Cumberland County on July 24, 1954, to the late Marie Mitchell Moskovitz.

In addition to his mother, Frank was preceded in death by his grandparents who adopted and raised him, Robert and Susan Mitchell.

Frank is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rhonda Mitchell; children, Bryan Mitchell (Elizabeth), Shelly Reynolds (Peter), Jamie Heeks (David), and Amber Weiss (Jason); grandchildren, Steffan, Ian, Taylor, Brianna, and Eli; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Aria; and a brother, John Mitchell.

Frank proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired after 28 years of dedicated service with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant.

A service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Military honors will conclude the service on the front lawn of the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. on Friday in the hour prior to the service.
