Lou Ann Ginn Gurganus, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. She was born in Wayne County to the late Paul and Minnie Forehand Ginn on November 24, 1941. In addition to her parents, Lou Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Gurganus.

Following her retirement from Wayne Memorial Hospital, Lou Ann enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Pikeville Church followed by a service to celebrate Lou Ann’s life at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary with Pastor Mark Whitfield officiating. Interment will be in the Pikeville Cemetery.

Lou Ann is survived by her sons, Eric Hinson of Nashville, TN, and Ric Hinson and wife, Jennifer of Fremont; grandchildren Cody Hinson, Tailer Hinson, Jarrett Hodges, Kolton Hodges, and Ashlee Hinson; and great-grandson, Hayden. She is also survived by her sister, Paulette Chase, and her family.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be given in her memory to The Pikeville Church, 335 Nahunta Road, Pikeville, NC 27863.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
