Goldsboro Man Fired Into Occupied Home Early Tuesday Morning

On Tuesday at 12:33 a.m., deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to an armed subject call at a residence in the East end of Wayne County.

While en route, deputies located a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle and stopped it on NC-111 South near Highway 70 East.

The driver, Vincent Edward Jeter II, 33, Goldsboro, was found to be in possession of a semiautomatic 9mm pistol.

It was found during the investigation that an argument had occurred between Jeter and two other subjects.

During the altercation, a single shot was fired by Jeter into the residence.

No injuries were sustained during the incident. Jeter was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Annex where he was charged with discharging a weapon into an occupied property.

Jeter was given a $20,000 secured bond.
