Ann Lancaster Newcomb, 82, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Wayne County on March 27, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Lancaster and Amanda Teachey Lancaster.

A service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Charlie Asby officiating. Interment will conclude at Pikeville Cemetery.

Ann is survived by her sister, Nina Lancaster Rhodes; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law, Margie Wooten; and special friends of the family, Thomas Dawson (Hilda).

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, James Edgar Newcomb; her step-father, Bert Lancaster; her son, Jimmy Newcomb and her brothers, James, Ray, and Bill Lancaster.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
