Wayne Preparatory Academy notified parents and staff on Tuesday that Executive Director Dr. Tina Hinson had departed the school.

Hinson had been named Executive Director in June after Dr. Steven Taylor was unable to accept the position after initially accepting the position in May.

Scott Mackey, Wayne Prep Board Chairperson, sent parents and staff an email on Tuesday informing them that Rebecca Whittle has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer.

Whittle has served as Director of Human Resources at Wayne Prep.

Mackey’s email read in part, “To ensure continuity and maintain our high standards, we are pleased to report that Rebecca Whittle has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer. She will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and will collaborate with the leadership team to ensure that our programs and initiatives continue to run smoothly during this period of transition.”
