Shirley Kay Phillips Toler, 73, of Princeton, passed away Friday morning at her home. She was born in Johnston County on July 13, 1951, to the late Ransom Phillips and Annie Bell Parnell Phillips. She was the spouse of James Roger Toler.
Shirley lived as a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Wife. She spent every moment of her life taking care of those she loved. Her love and devotion to her husband Roger were unmatched. She enjoyed working in the garden with her son; Jarvis and had many years of joy doing that.
There is no way to measure the love she had for her children and her grandchildren. No words can describe how much she was loved and cherished by her family. She will be forever missed.
The Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the Princeton Cemetery. Preacher Dennis Pollock will be officiating.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband; Roger Toler, sons; Jarvis Toler of Princeton, George Toler and wife Lacie of Princeton, Jason Toler and wife Sarah of Smithfield, daughter; Jenny Thomas of Smithfield, grandchildren; Brandon Thomas, Blake Toler, Madison Toler, Gatlin Toler, Maxtin Toler, Abigail Toler, 3 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters; Becky Heath, Barbara Strickland, Bobby Phillips, Randy Phillips, Jimmy Phillips and Pat Hinnant.
The family requests casual attire for the Graveside Service.
