Lily Rose Dail Combs, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning surrounded by her family at UNC Health Wayne.

Lily Rose was born May 10, 1940, to Gurney Edward and Pearl Radford Dail in Goldsboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Desiree Lipscomb, Mildred Irene Dail, Betty Ruth Evans, and Clarice Smith, and brothers: Bud Dail, Roy Dail, Clifton Dail, and Bobby Dail.

She retired from Cherry Hospital. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling, shopping, and being with her family.

Lily Rose is survived by her daughter, Pam Reason (Jerry), and son, Keith Combs (Denise); grandchildren: Heather Bridgers (Robert), Adam Combs (Marielle), and Victoria Fisher (Bradley); and great-grandchildren: Sawyer and Karson Bridgers, Madison, Matthew, and Mason Blizzard. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Annette Dail, as well as many nieces and nephews she loved very much.

The family appreciates all the calls, texts, and prayers. A private graveside service will be held.

Love and heartfelt thanks is also expressed to those who provided excellent care including Wayne County EMS, UNC Health Wayne Emergency Room Department, and the 2nd-floor staff at UNC Health Wayne.
