Matthew Shane Robinson, 54, passed away suddenly Monday evening at his home in the Goldsboro area.
He was an avid motorcyclist, loved his family, and had a special affection for the mountains. He was employed as an automotive mechanic.
Shane leaves behind his wife, Kelly Robinson; his mother, Wendy Craft; two daughters, Heather N. Ellis of the home, and Shelly Sullivan of Goldsboro; four sons, Justin Robinson with companion, Kaitlin Melvin, of Wilmington, Matthew Blake Robinson of Virginia, Andrew Blake Ellis with wife, Emily, of Wallace, and Joseph Robinson of the home; a granddaughter, Amara Nicole Ellis-Gunter; a sister, Jessica James and husband, Daniel, of PIkeville; a brother, Greg Robinson and wife, Elizabeth, of Wendell.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Robinson; his step-father, James Craft; a son Kevin Maffatone; a sister, Karen Craft; and a niece, Carrie Snyder.
Shane’s family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, November 18, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive.
