GPD Responds to Armed Robbery on Thursday Morning

On Thursday at approximately 9:24 a.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred in the 300 block of N. Carolina Street

Upon arrival, the victim told police that he was robbed at gunpoint by a subject.

The victim provided the suspect’s description and a vehicle description. 

At approximately 1:40 p.m., patrol officers located the suspect, Montrell Nathan Faison, 29, and the aforementioned vehicle in the 300 block of W. Grantham Street. 

The Goldsboro Police Department Criminal Investigations Division and Support Services officers responded to assist, and Faison was subsequently arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. 

Evidence, including a firearm, was located in Faison’s vehicle.

The Faison was taken before a magistrate and chargedHe received no bond and was released into the custody of the Wayne County Detention Center pending a first appearance in court.
