On Monday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a larceny in progress in the Polly Watson area of the county.
Upon the arrival of Patrol Deputies, a large amount of metal and lumber was found loaded into a vehicle, which was determined to have been stolen from a residence.
With deputies in the area, one subject fled into a wooded area, and a K-9 track was conducted.
Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Detectives responded to the scene and after a thorough investigation, deputies and detectives were able to take Brandon Godbey, 31, Lucama, Taylor Dale Lucas, 34, Lucama, and Heather Nicole Jett, 25, Kenly, into custody.
Godbey was charged with two counts of felony larceny, and he received a $5,000 secured bond and was placed in the Wayne County Detention Center.
Lucas was charged with two counts of felony larceny and possession of methamphetamine. He received no bond and was placed in the Wayne County Detention Center.
Jett was charged with two counts of felony larceny, and she received a $3,000 unsecured bond.
