FREMONT — On Oct. 25, deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to a breaking and entering in progress on Black Creek Road, however the suspect had left prior to the deputies’ arrival.
On Oct. 27, there was an additional breaking and entering in progress at the same location.
Deputies arrived on the scene and a search turned up two suspects who were located hiding inside of a building.
An investigation was conducted in relation to the prior breaking and entering at the same location and as a result of this investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Kevin Lee Davis, 51, Elm City, was arrested and charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering, and one count of felony injuring property and obtaining nonferrous metals.
Davis received a $10,000 secured bond and was placed in the Wayne County Detention Center.
