November 18, 2024, 92, Mount Olive —
Mr. Bee J. Lee, 92, a lifelong resident of Mount Olive, peacefully went to be with the Lord on the morning of November 18, 2024, while under the care of Wayne UNC Hospital.
The family will receive friends at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church (130 Ed Edmundson Road, Mount Olive, NC) on Thursday, November 21, beginning at 12:30 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Jeffrey Dail. Burial will follow the service at Wayne Memorial Park. Friends and family are also being received at the Lee residence.
A dedicated and hard-working individual, Mr. Lee began his career as a salesman at Mount Olive Auto Parts, before transitioning to a role as a laboratory technician at the Town of Mount Olive’s wastewater treatment facility. He also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Mount Olive Fire Department, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a faithful member of Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he found strength and support throughout his life.
Mr. Lee was known for his deep love for family and his unwavering commitment to his community. He leaves behind a cherished family, including his seven children: Hampton Bee Lee of Mount Olive, and special friend Sharon Smith of Dudley; Julie Graham of Goldsboro and fiancé Don Hargrove of Mount Olive; Jeffrey Graham and wife Diane of Dudley; Joey Graham and wife Michele of Dudley; Pat G. Kendall of Greenville; Jerry Graham and wife Deborah of Pikeville; and Jackie Graham and wife Brenda of Mount Olive. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Chad Smith, Dawson Smith, Ashley Smith and fiancé Richard Wilkinson, Jonathan and Abigail Graham, Anthony Graham and fiancée Kayla Williamson, Justin and Jessica Graham, Wesley Graham, Crystal and Bryan Jones, Wade and Malissa Graham, Summer and Taylor Carr, David Ray and Susan Price, and Renee Parker. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren: Jackson Krueger; Alex and Avery Wilkinson; Hadley and Jade Graham; Candice and Baili Williamson; James, Jennifer, and Weston Graham; Madelyn Davis; Savannah Worrell; Hunter Smith; Bladen and Brantley Jones; Thomas Wade, Parker, and Paisley Graham; Palmer Carr; Graham and Ashley Price; Heather and Shane Hicks; Taylor and Logan Johnson; and Logan Parker. Additionally, he is survived by several great-great-grandchildren and dear nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Price Graham Lee; his parents, Paschal Bee Lee and Carrie Underhill Lee; his brother, Henry Hampton Lee; and his sisters, Christine Kornegay, Lina Mae Lee Wellon, and Lois Lee Salinas and twin grandsons Jason and Jay Lane.
