November 22, 2024, 90, Goldsboro —
Frances Tyner Hinnant, 90, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Helping Hands in Goldsboro. Frances was born in Wayne County to the late Robert and Viola Price Tyner on June 1, 1934. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allen Hinnant; sons, James William Farmer and Timothy Joe Farmer; granddaughter, Nikki Waters Price; and sisters, Helen Cooper, Betty Rose, and Atha Vaughn.
Frances had been employed with Barry Manufacturing in Goldsboro for many years.
Tirelessly devoted to her family, Frances found her greatest blessings while caring for them. Always happiest when she was doing for others, she dedicated her time and energy to showing her love in tangible ways. She was caring, giving, loving, and yes — feisty!
Enjoying time in her yard, you could often find Frances maintaining her beautiful landscape—pulling weeds, pruning flowers, or just enjoying the beauty around her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Betty Waters, and husband, Michael of Grantham; sons, Robert Farmer of Destin, FL, and Billy Farmer and wife, BJ of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Mitzi, Joe, Billy, Heather, and Shannon; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Tyner, and wife, Mary Ellen of Garner; and several nieces and nephews she loved very much.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be given in her memory to Cures for the Colors, SMOC, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, NC 27534.
Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
