Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest for Possession of Narcotics

On Dec. 10 members of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office ViPR Team conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of E. Ash St and Glenwood Trail for a drug investigation.

After the traffic stop, a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted.

Narcotics were located on Rosemarie Anderson’s, 64, Goldsboro, person as she stood beside a patrol vehicle.

Anderson was arrested and charged with trafficking opium by possession, trafficking opium by transporting, and 
possession of methamphetamines. 

She received a $150,000 secured bond.
