Copemon “Cope” Robertson was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina on June 28, 1952, to Fred and Rosa Robertson. He was the sixth of seven children.
Cope, as he was affectionately known, attended Goldsboro City Schools and graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1970. Following graduation, he pursued a career in construction and was known in the Goldsboro area as a master bricklayer. He was employed with his brother’s company, Robertson Construction Company in Goldsboro, and with Solomon Pigford of Mt. Olive, N.C.
Copemon leaves to cherish his memories one son, Mario Robertson of Raleigh and Mario’s mother, Virginia Brinson Turner of Raleigh; sister, Carolyn Robertson of Goldsboro; brother, Robert E. Robertson of Tampa Florida; grandson, Sitahj Robertson of Goldsboro and granddaughter, Lila Robertson of East Hartford Connecticut; two maternal aunts, Mabel Alston and Virginia Rouse of Goldsboro and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
Cope had a great sense of wit and humor and usually had something humorous to add to most conversations. If he was anywhere around, he would have you laughing. For this, he will be sorely missed.
Romans 6:23- “The wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The family of Copemon expresses their thanks and appreciation to everyone for your loving care and support.
