Known to family and friends as one of the “go-go” girls, Peggie was constantly on the move. She was always up for a trip to town and shopping, but equally happy to enjoy the beauties of nature sitting on her back porch.

Kind-hearted, Peggie was a sweet soul that offered loved to all she met. In her, you could easily find a generous friend. A longtime member of Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Peggie worshiped faithfully with her church family.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, January 2, 2025 beginning at 12:00 noon at Rouse Funeral Home. A service of love and remembrance will follow the visitation at 1:00 with Pastor Brian Rogers officiating. Committal will follow the service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Peggie is survived by her husband, Wayne Pittman; daughter, Debbie Kimble (Gary); two grandchildren, Shelly Gurganus (Ryan) and Kayla Kimble; five great-grandchildren, Kylie, Collin, Blayden, Brixley, and Brooks; siblings, Hazel Lumurro of Jacksonville, Florida, Lila Parker of Clinton, North Carolina, and Lillian Paderick (Billy) of Seven Springs, North Carolina; and half-sister, Kathleen Caudill of Dunnellon, Florida.
