On Jan. 5 at approximately 11:24 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of N. James St. for a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with several individuals.
Shameka McAllister, 32, was suffering from a stab wound to her shoulder.
McAllister was taken to UNC Heath Wayne for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Yatazia Laquitta Davis, 26, was detained for further investigation.
The Investigative Services Bureau was contacted and responded to the scene.
As a result of the investigation into this matter, a warrant was secured against Davis for one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
On Sunday at approximately 4:22 p.m., Davis was taken into custody in the 400 block of N. James Street by members of the Goldsboro Police Department’s Patrol “D” Shift.
Davis received no bond pending a first appearance on Monday in Wayne County District Court.
