WCSO Arrests Murder Suspect in Goldsboro

On Sunday, a deputy with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division located a stolen vehicle that was in the parking lot of 2707 N William Street.

The vehicle, a red Chevy Camaro was reported stolen out of Fayetteville.

Deputies were alerted that the possible operator of the stolen vehicle could be Christopher Wayne Walker out of Fayetteville who was wanted for first-degree murder.

Deputies were able to positively identify the operator as Christopher Walker, 40, Fayetteville.

Deputies conducted a vehicle takedown in the parking lot of 2707 N William Street and took Walker into custody without incident.

The Fayetteville Police Department was contacted, and Walker and the vehicle were transferred into the custody of the Fayetteville Police Department.

Christopher Walker was served by the Fayetteville Police Department with the first-degree murder warrant.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office secured a warrant for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

The Goldsboro Police Department secured a warrant for misdemeanor larceny.
