The City of Goldsboro and County of Wayne Offices are opening at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

City of Goldsboro refuse and recycling collection services have been postponed until road conditions are safe for equipment and staff.

All routes will be completed by Saturday evening.

Residents are asked to place their rollout containers at the curb on their scheduled day and leave them out until they have been serviced.

The County of Wayne’s delayed opening includes the Wayne County Courthouse, all branches of the Wayne County Public Library, Peggy M. Seegars Senior Center, Wayne County Animal Shelter, and the Wayne County Landfill and convenience centers.

Superior Court Judge Billy Strickland has announced that all Wayne County courts will follow the same delay above.

The Wayne County Office of Emergency Services reminds residents if you must travel during this time, please use caution.

Roads may still be slick in some areas, particularly on secondary roads, bridges, and overpasses.

Drive slowly, increase following distances, and stay alert for icy patches.
