Ms. Edna Y. Coston, 82, completed her earthly walk of life on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at UNC Wayne Healthcare, Goldsboro, NC. The Celebration of her Life will be Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 1:00pm at Word of Truth Christian Fellowship, 1401 N. Carolina Street, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a chapel viewing on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

She was born on June 19, 1942 in Greene County, NC to the late Amaziah Lane and Mabel Ellis Lane. She is survived by children son, Charles Lanes (Barbara); daughter, Felicia Tucker (Bobby); son, Elgin Lane and son, Elder Darren Young; brother, George Lane; nieces: Sharon Reid, Paulette Lane and Rosaland Lane; nephew: Jose Lane, David Coley and Reginald Coley; numerous grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other close relatives and friends.
