The popular biennial event Wings Over Wayne is set for May 3-4 at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, featuring a variety of events for the public including a special appearance by the USAF Thunderbirds.
Wings Over Wayne (WOW#25) has grown to be the largest free air show in North Carolina, attracting nearly 200,000 people every other year to the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
Details of the event, including premium seating information, sponsorships, specific military and civilian performers, and more, will be available on the website and will be updated frequently.
Amanda Justice, Travel & Tourism Director for Goldsboro-Wayne County, says the area is thrilled to welcome WOW#25 back to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
“This event brings thousands of visitors here to marvel at the outstanding show performers – like the USAF Thunderbirds – as well as say thank you to the men and women in uniform who serve our country,” said Justice. “The economic impact upon this community is of course huge … and we expect this year’s event to be bigger and better than ever.”
Admission and parking will be free. From food offerings to the Kids’ Zone to demonstrations of wings in the air and wheels on the ground, there will be activities for all ages to enjoy.
