On Thursday, at approximately 7:36 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of S. John St. for a possible deceased person.

When officers arrived, they called for EMS personnel.

Donnell Depriest Hinton, 65, Goldsboro, was pronounced deceased by Wayne County EMS.

The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau was contacted and responded to the scene.

A death investigation was initiated and is currently still active.
